I’m a life-long Vancouverite who’s  indescribably glad to see the end of the decade.

More importantly though, I’m a single light amid a dazzling city, and I’m searching to train my spotlight upon things that make me happy – little things to keep me grounded and positive, to give me reasons for getting up each day, to direct focus away from the hardships that adorn every lifetime.  I can’t claim to be nearly as adept at this as my sister was, but I’ve learned a lot from her, and continue to do so.  My arterial lusts in life are piano, yoga, writing, and nature.  I absolutely LOVE cows, but I WON’T eat them; the same goes for chickens, ducks, and sheep… I’m beginning to fit into the veggie-loving, granola-munching, tree-hugging, meditating Vancouverite mould – except I don’t smoke weed.  On the other hand, I’m trying to break the norm of requiring nothing short of extravagance and scandal for satisfaction.  We’ll see how this turns out…
